My 7th great-grandmother Magdalene Verrueil (Baldwin line) was reportedly born on this day in 1685 in Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands. Her birth predates the public South Holland records known to me. If you have any documentation for Magdalene's birth, please leave a comment.

My ancestors range from some of the earliest arrivals in North America in the 1600s to immigrants in the mid- to late 1800s; from soldiers in the British colonies to accused horse thieves in Texas; from those who knew only common folk to those who knew the likes of Chief Justice John Marshall, Sam Houston, and Stephen F. Austin.
